THIS YEAR WE WELCOMED OUR 10,000TH DUCK TO DUCK HAVEN!
Duck Haven houses over 50 permanently injured Muscovies, many of them victims of cruelty that Eunice has nursed to life, giving them another chance. They live peacefully in Duck Haven's small quarters. Meet some of our camera hogs!

These two have quite a flirty relationship! The male on the left has what we call "angel wings," rendering him unable to fly. The female on the right has a beak injury that makes it difficult to feed herself in the wild.
On the right is one of our "duck houses." The ducks like to lounge around inside!
Here's a photo of a Hen hatching eggs. Muscovy mothers are very caring, attentive mothers, counting their ducklings at every turn and patiently teaching them to swim, climb, and follow. Too often, mothers are run over by cars, sometimes deliberately, and Duck Haven hand raises the orphans until they're ready to be released onto friendly private properties. We are always looking for volunteers to help raise these babies, especially in the Spring breeding season.
